Lynne Pope Build-it-Green GREEN what does it all mean? First up! I care. Everything in nature speaks out to me. I cared right away about trees and all living things related to trees. Related is the key word I feel related to trees. Really. Not so far off the Celts and Irish themes and the Indian love of the sky and all things related, birds, clouds, flying, the sun and stars. Another thing I love and maybe first of all are People. Green is the catch all new word for environment. Once you become educated to the GREEN culture you learn new words and a whole language of words. Cradle to Grave is about the life of something like a surfboard, or box and even a toaster. What goes into making this and what does it do to the environment and when its no longer of use what happens then? What can we do? BEgin. lightbulbs, weatherstrip, windows, water..wherever you start it doesn't matter just join in.

This is my last moment before I turn off the lights and walk around our neighborhood in Redondo beach to support Lights OUT LA I am so glad my neighbors told me about it today as we helped them move a sofa. I just went online to see all the info about it...IT's called LIGHTS OUT AMERICA.COM
Today is Saturday and my husband and I pretended we were on vacation. We took a walk along the beach in Redondo we had a cup of tea, We sat in our back yard and threw a yellow tennis ball around for our Dog Sophie. Then we took a test drive in a new mercades but 18 mpg city and 25 mpg didn't do much for me. I have a 96 mercades with 146 K miles. I have an after market gps and I wanted one that I could play cd's and have gps.

I listened to matt ferry music tapes. very cool. (Friday I had a great Buffini coaching call) why so much coaching I dont know. I just need to do some of the things they say. I'll keep you informed. So far my data base, really is a christmas card list for cards never sent and its nearly 400. Buffini says pick 100 and send them a letter then qualify them. I need to to that. but not now...its black out time...
I did an open house in Hermosa Beach ane saw about 9 people,
I made dinner and had the grandkids over to play for a little while.

I already have 160 fluorescent bulbs in the garage. I have started changing lights.
I have 3 burned out ones that I have to take somewhere special...you don't throw these in the trash.

its good to learn and to try to understant what more we can do.
I am going to test drive the prius and some other cars....
